A special experience
Our family ran a French restaurant in Brisbane for 37 years and French Cottage was our escape from that hectic life. I also owned an art gallery so the house reflects these two passions -- a very well equipped kitchen and lots of art around the place. Now I am retired and my adult kids are busy with their lives, I wanted other people to be able to keep the house alive and enjoy the magic.
Unfortunately, I am unable to allow even small weddings due to the location of the house and our use of tank water.
4 bedrooms & 8 Beds
We all value a good night's sleep, so every room has high-quality mattresses, and hotel quality linen and pillows and we use a professional laundry and cleaning services.
The home comfortably sleeps 10 people with four (4) bedrooms and eight (8) beds, plus a surprisingly comfortable sofa bed in The Loft.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom has a king bed and is on the ground floor of the main house. It has a walk-in wardrobe and direct access to the downstairs bathroom en suite.
The bedroom opens via French doors to a spectacular view of the property.
Dormer Bedroom
A cosy bedroom, upstairs in the main house. Queen bed, built-in wardrobe, next to the main bathroom.
Fantastic view across the property, to the valley and coast.
Mezzanine Area
This large airy room, is upstairs in the main house.
It is an open sleeping area with two king single beds and two single beds. This room has small wardrobe, toys for the kids and great views. It share the main bathroom with the Dormer bedroom.
The Loft
The Loft accommodation is in a separate building next to the main house. It is a large airconditioned private area above the carport. It has a queen bed, a table and chairs, plus an ensuite with a toilet and shower. The room has WIFI, a TV area, and the sofa pulls out to a comfortable double bed.
Modern Bathrooms
We three bathrooms, two in the main house and one in The Loft.

Bathroom 1 - Downstairs in the main house, this is the ensuite to the master bedroom and includes a separate toilet and shower.

Open Plan Living
The kitchen, dining and lounge open up to a generous covered verandah, deck and gazebo.
Gourmet kitchen with everything you could want. We love entertaining, and the home has an abundance of crockery, cutlery and glassware, plus appliances and a big BBQ.
Please walk around the property and help yourself to herbs, fruit and citrus from the garden.

The property is not fenced, but is very private. We have lovely neighbours you can't see while at the house, but you might see them while coming or leaving the property.
